A Spectacle of Herself Join Laura on a mission to serve herself up [in]appropriately for your consumption, in a bold,
cinematic, acrobatic odyssey through the frontiers of mental health, queerness, rage & the 21st
Century space race. Directed by Ursula Martinez, with Laura’s critical and cheeky signature mix of
autobiography, lip-sync, video and aerial rope, A Spectacle of Herself navigates the personal and
political to seek out new worlds and ways to be seen.

"Laura Murphy is a genre-defying, award-winning, performance maker from Bristol, who makes text driven and dynamic physical work about things that they think need to be talked about.
Internationally recognised for their innovative approach to circus and performance making, Murphy’s work is a cross-disciplinary fusion of theatre, aerial choreography, live art, dance and verbal explosions, which integrates intimacy and spectacle.
Proudly queer and neurodivergent, Murphy’s work traverses the personal and the political, connecting the everyday and autobiographical testimony to wider global and social issues. "

Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage Since emerging in 2016, Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage have been defying all conventions of style, genre and compartmentalisation. A touch of ‘Americana’, yet quintessentially English. Traditional, yet contemporary, with their individual writing style. Playful and instinctive, they constantly do the unexpected; yet they do it with such panache and natural chemistry it makes perfect sense.
A special one-off expanded band tour for the critically acclaimed folk duo. Following the success of their 2022 release “Ink Of The Rosy Morning” on Topic Records Hannah & Ben spent much of 2023 touring with the legendary Fairport Convention. Now, with their new album “In The Dark We Grow” and a live show line-up featuring the inimitable Jon Thorne (Lamb, James Yorkston) on Double Bass, Hannah & Ben hit the road for the first time with a band of their own. Already so well known for their moving live performances, this unique musical collaboration promises to be balm for weariest ears.

Hannah Scott The best stories elicit profound personal reactions and in the 15 years she has been writing and performing, Hannah Scott has become a consummate storyteller. Her music is shaped by human stories, with family, in all its chaos and glory, sitting at the heart of her work. Her lyrics are powerful and poignant, and her voice feels strangely familiar, though you can’t quite put your finger on why. Her writing may be deeply personal but her music has a universal appeal that extends beyond the melodies you catch yourself humming days after listening to her songs. Remarkable Women: Edith Piaf Edith Piaf, also known as “The Little Sparrow”, was one of the most iconic performers in France. Many of her songs became famous such as Non, je ne regrette rien – an unbelievable title when considering all she had to endure in her life. Her songs were often autobiographical and it is therefore not surprising that most of them are about love, loss and sorrow. An unusual and unsettling childhood, teenage years as a street singer and a life full of drama ultimately took her to addiction and related health issues. Dates: Thu 21 Booking and More Information
