Remarkable Women: Constanze Mozart There is much written about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and yet comparatively little about his beloved wife Constanze. She was a well-educated, strong and determined woman and being a trained, talented musician herself she was an inspiration to his music and her shrewdness provided the guiding hand her often rather irresponsible husband needed. After his death she made it her mission to keep his memory and music alive. We will look at the life of this often misunderstood woman without whom any legacy of Mozart would be a very different one.
