The Worthing area was a very busy place six thousand years ago, with the sinking of mines in search of high-quality flint, the clearing of forest for farming and the development of the first monuments. This lecture will focus on the area of Worthing itself, with a nod to important sites nearby, with an extensive object handling session at the end.
